| If we had a dime for each time this cue has been picked up and marveled over we'd be able to go out to a really nice dinner at a fancy restaurant... This cue is a fantastic representation of old-world techniques with the butterfly splices. Rosewood and maple are spliced together to form waves going up the cue and continuing onto the shaft. This style was popular around the 1920's and we brought it back. This one continues to be a show stopper, each one is unique and guaranteed to get attention. Oh, and it plays fantastic as well because the splices give the cue a little more stiffness than a single piece shaft. Sporty and Stylish, what more can you want? How about saving $1300? See below. |

| very fast service, love my cue stick, highly recommend, A+ - montague@xxxx.xxx from CueSight Billiard Supplies |
Just $999 and it can be yours. No, just $220
 |
For only $999 our competitor will gladly sell you his version of this cue. For several years ours was the only one of it's kind available. Now, some cuemakers are rediscovering the technique, finding it to be quite labor intensive, and charging accordingly. We are happy to see this style making a comeback as it is one of our favorites.
Now our competitor, who really isn't a competitor per se, but is instead a small scale cuemaker who does make some nice cues, even if we happen to feel that they are a bit overpriced. We know everyone has to make a living but we also know full well what it takes to make a good cue and in this case it's not nearly enough to justify a $1000 price tag in our opinion. We just happen to be more experienced and efficient.
On the other hand, maybe you are paying for the learning curve with the one for a $1000, while with ours you are getting the result of over 40 years of cue building and 100 years of woodworking passed down from many generations.
Whatever the reason, this butterfly pool cue still stands out as a unique testament to what is possible with contrasting woods.
And so far we are still the only ones making spliced shafts to go with the cues. Perhaps if our competitor did that as well then the cue would cost $1500. Ours is just $220 and less than that if you shop around a little bit. Spend the extra $1300 you save on something else nice, like our entire Graphic Series collection. :-)
The cue at left is shown with two shafts. It comes with one shaft. The picture is intended to show how the butterfly looks when the shaft is rotated a quarter turn.
Thank you again for taking the time to browse through our selection of pool cues and pool sticks. We hope you find just the right one to match your needs. If we don't carry just what you need then please contact us and allow us to try and locate it for you from one of our sales partners.
